These pictures show how quickly the world is changing

If you've ever marveled at the incredible growing pace of this world, you are in good company. Just a few years ago, in fact 20 or 30 years, some cities were still barren deserts and city field.

For example, in 1990, the skyscrapers of Dubai and UAE millionaires paradise was but a dream, and a desert. And Shanghai in the same year does not look anything like as it is in 2014, with tall buildings and neon signs. These pictures amaze you, and remind you of what we can be imaginative when given only a plot of land and big dreams.
