The ancient city of Fenghuang is located in the southwest corner of Hunan Province, in China, at the foot of a mountain along the river banks Tuo Jiang. The city is exceptionally well-preserved, regardless of modernization, the accommodation of unique ethnic customs, language arts, as well as many distinctive architectural remains of Ming and Qing styles.
The old city has basically maintained the original design and appearance of the Ming dynasty, 14th century, Qing dynasty, 17th century to the present day. There are preserved in the old part of the city more than 200 ancient buildings, some 20 large and small streets, lanes and alleys 10 old and the walls, ancient towers, gates of the city, the ancient rock jumping, wells old, old bridges rainbow, ancient temples of literature, ancient temples of poems, ancient ancestral temples, etc. are all preserved in their original state.
